I recently got laid off work due to my previous employer having to close the business due to the effects of Covid. I had worked there for 20 years and did not know what I wanted to do. A friend had suggested a local home care provider was looking for staff and said to apply. I was scared as I had never done care before. My new employer used BANK for their mandatory training. I have never leant so much and laughed in one 3 days. I did the Care Certificate 3 day course and can honestly say I wish I had made the switch from the leisure sector to care sooner. The trainer was first class and I can’t wait for more courses I can go on.

The training was first class. I felt very nervous as I had never worked within care before. The Introduction into healthcare course gave me so much knowledge. We approached BANK recently as we are a small business who provide domiciliary care to people in their own homes. We needed some mandatory training, mainly BLS and Moving and Handling. The Director knew exactly what I wanted and tailored a training package that met both my business needs and the needs of my staff. As a Registered nurse I had had been out of clinical practice for many years. I wanted to update my clinical skills so booked a clinical skills workshop with BANK. I found the course relevant, fun and very engaging. The trainer was a nurse with a current pin which gave me confidence. I shall book again soon. Thank you! 15th November 21
